SBIF Grants  The funding available for SBIF grants has run out.  Now that the maximum available grant is $150,000, the $800,000 funding is used much faster.  The EDC strongly supports SBIF as the best program available for increasing the longevity and improving the "guts" of a building: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.  SBIF assistance is essential for the viability of a neighborhood of vintage buildings. 

We have  been told that new funds will be allocated to the Fullerton/Milwaukee District, but the timing is unclear.  There are a few basic requirements to qualify for a grant, including an application process, so feel free to call 773-227-9335.
