High cash outlay requirements, uncertain interest rates, and short payback periods make conventional loans unappealing or unavailable- even when expansion makes sense for a business, its employees and the community. At SomerCor, we can help achieve growth plans with a smart financing solution called the 504 Loan Program.

Most everyone agrees that the reconstruction of Fireman’s Park on the corner of Kimball, Diversey and Milwaukee Avenues has continued substantially to beautifying the area. The EDC has led the park maintenance, and we are grateful to the volunteers who have contributed generously to keep the Park a community asset. Larry Cotter has led cleaning efforts. Edgar Aponte has had grass finely manicured. Callander Gardens has been enormously helpful by mulching and donating and planting lovely trees. We are proud of the new electrical outlet that was installed this year, just in time to light the beautiful Christmas tree donated and installed by Callander Gardens. The tree was a truly community tree, dedicated to victims of domestic abuse by the 14th District Police and the EDC.
